Why Tips Alone Won't Fix Your Baby's Sleep

Why Tips Alone Won't Fix Your Baby's Sleep

What should a baby sleep coach talk about during a live TV interview?

That is the first thing I wanted to answer when I got invited as a guest.

This September, I'll be sitting down with ATL Live to talk about one of the biggest struggles new parents face, and it's not what most people think.

It's not a lack of love.

It's not a lack of effort.

It's not even a lack of information, if anything, parents today have too much information, coming from every direction, often contradicting itself.

The number one core issue I see, over and over, with the families I work with is this: parents don't know how to build the right sleep associations for their baby.

What That Actually Means

A sleep association is simply whatever your baby learns to rely on to fall asleep, rocking, nursing, being held, a pacifier, motion.

None of these are wrong. In fact, in the newborn stage, they're exactly what your baby needs.

The problem isn't that these associations exist. The problem is that most parents never learn how to shift them intentionally as their baby grows, so what worked beautifully at six weeks becomes the very thing keeping everyone up at eight months.

Every time your baby wakes at night, which is completely normal and biological, they look for that same exact association to fall back asleep.

If that association requires you, every single time, that's what you'll be doing.

Every. Single. Time.

Why This Gets Missed

Most parents aren't taught this.

They're taught safety guidelines, feeding schedules, developmental milestones, but almost no one sits down with a new parent and explains how sleep associations actually work, and how to build ones that support independent, sustainable sleep instead of ones that require round-the-clock intervention.

So parents blame themselves.

They wonder if their baby is broken, or if they're doing something wrong.

They're not.

They just haven't had the roadmap yet.

Why I'm Not Just Sharing Tips

When I sit down for this interview, here's what I want every viewer to walk away with: not another list of tips to try tonight, but a framework they can actually plug themselves into, no matter what stage they're in or what their baby's specific sleep struggle looks like.

Tips run out.

A single trick might work for one night, one nap, one specific problem.

But a framework works because it teaches you why your baby's sleep behaves the way it does, so you can respond to whatever comes up next, a regression, a growth spurt, a new sleep environment, without starting from scratch every time.

That's the real difference between temporary relief and lasting change.

It's the difference between someone handing you a fish and someone teaching you how to fish, in the middle of the night, half-asleep, with a crying baby in your arms.

This is exactly what I built inside Baby Sleep Accelerator®: a framework, not just a checklist.

It includes my sleep association stacking method, a gentle way to shift your baby's associations without cry-it-out and without losing the connection you've built.

But more than any single method, what I want parents to walk away with is the underlying understanding of how sleep associations work, so they're never left guessing again.

If You're Ready to Stop Guessing

You've ever wondered why your baby's sleep feels so unpredictable. You've blamed yourself for something that was never your fault. You've tried tip after tip, only to feel like you're starting over every time something changes.

If any of that sounds familiar, I built this framework for you.

If you're ready to stop guessing and start building the right sleep associations for your baby, gently and with real support, I'd love to help.
